India's drone policy has shifted from restriction to promotion, and the demand for certified pilots has followed. Here is where remote pilots are finding work today.
Agriculture
Spray drones cover fields faster than manual methods and reduce chemical exposure for farmers. Agri-service companies and farmer producer organisations need pilots who can plan, fly and maintain these aircraft.
Survey and inspection
Land surveys, mining, construction progress and asset inspection of towers, power lines and solar farms all rely on drone data. Pilots who also understand mapping software are especially valued.
Film, media and events
Aerial footage is now standard for weddings, real estate, sports and advertising. FPV pilots in particular are in demand for dynamic, close-proximity shots.
